The top 16 competitors in the first round of 3x3 will go head to head in a competition that involves setting up cubes, and then competing with them. The competitors are given five minutes to set up their cube, and then will compete in a head to head best of 1 format. The winner of each set takes the loser's cube, and then competes in the next round with a two cube relay. This continues until the winner has all 16 cubes. If any of the top 16 competitors chooses not to participate, the next ranked competitor will be invited to participate.Parent SolveIn this event, a cuber must walk a non-cubing parent (or sibling or friend) through a solve. The cuber may not touch the cube, and may not use another cube for purposes of demonstration. The person physically solving the cube should not know how to solve the cube beforehand.
