3x3x3 with Socks

Solve a 3x3, but with socks on your hands. Socks will be provided. The standard regulations for 3x3x3 solving will apply. If the capacitive stackmat sensors do not start with socks on your hands, you may start the timer with your forearm/elbows, provided you do not touch the cube until the timer starts. Format is best of 2.

Team Factory

A team event where two competitors race to finish two cubes as quickly as possible, while switching cubes between steps. For CFOP method users, the cube is swapped after cross, each F2L pair, OLL, and PLL. The timer is started and stopped with one hand from each competitor. We understand that this is pretty difficult to judge or regulate, so please try to be as fair as possible - remember that this event is just for fun. Format is best of 2.

Team BLD

A team event where only one competitor is allowed to turn the cube, but s/he is blindfolded and not allowed to look at the cube beforehand. The other competitor may not turn the cube, and instead must give instructions so that the team is able to solve the cube. This person may touch the cube in inspection. Communication is allowed in inspection, provided no turns are made. Format is best of 2.

TheCubicle.us GuanLong Challenge

Run like previously by thecubicle.us. The top 16 competitors in the first round of 3x3 will go head to head in a competition that involves setting up cubes, and then competing with them. The competitors are given five minutes to set up their cube, and then will compete in a head to head best of 1 format. The winner of each set takes the loser's cube, and then competes in the next round with a two cube relay. This continues until the winner has all 16 cubes. If any of the top 16 competitors chooses not to participate, the next ranked competitor will be invited to participate.

Parent Solve

In this event, a cuber must walk a non-cubing parent (or sibling or friend) through a solve. The cuber may not touch the cube, and may not use another cube for purposes of demonstration. The person physically solving the cube should not know how to solve the cube beforehand. Format is best of 1.
